I love painting a variety of subject and styles. These galleries are my attempts at grouping my art into pairings and themes that go well together.

Each Gallery has a primary theme but is also broken down into subcategories by the subheadings at the top of the gallery. If you fall in love with a painting that is not listed for sale, please reach out to me to inquire about a similar commission or a print.

Outdoor Adventures

I love to camp and hike as much as I love painting, which means this series is constantly growing and evolving every weekend as I get out to explore the places I am lucky enough to visit. Many of these paintings were created during snack breaks along a day hike, or in camp after a long day of backpacking. Others were made from photos taken while exploring and painted later back home as I relived the most recent adventure. All of these paintings have a story about their creation, some contain dirt or smudges or tears, others contain memories of laughter, love, or awe. If you are interested in buying one of these, be prepared to receive not only the painting, but the story that goes along with it!

Blind contour series

During early 2021 I rediscovered contour drawing as a way to study forms and be more free with my painting. I created this series by looking at an object instead of the paper, and drawing a single continuous line in pen. Then I used watercolors to add more definition to the object.

Some of the paintings are easily recognizable objects, while others are lovably derpy due to their misshapen proportions or parts, but I love them all.

I added categories to help find creative pairings - I particularly love some of the Kitchen items as a mini series or the plants and gardening objects!

100 Days of Doors

These paintings were created in the late summer and fall of 2018. Some are doors from my past, others are doors I found in my neighborhood, and the rest are doors I discovered while traveling around the world. Each original watercolored door is available for purchase for $45+ each. Prints are available for $10+ each upon request.

This series allowed me to combine my love of buildings and detailed sketching with my love of watercolor paints. I began to notice doors in a new way every day while wandering my neighborhood and traveling. Even though I have reached my 100 Door Goal, I am continuing to paint doors more irregularly because I love the subject so much.
